Crysis I

I joined Crytek in June 2007 and started as being a part of the 'Level beautyfication' team. Basically we went through all maps of the entire game and did an 'art'/'set dressing' pass. We rearranged and polished the visuals to improve the leading and look of the game while staying in touch with each level design owner. It also included different types of performance optimizations.
Later on I took the responsibilty for Friedrich Bodes level 'Core' and 'Ascension' because he as the level owner left Crytek for studying reasons before Crysis was shipped . The finalization of both map for the PC release was quite challenging and included all kinds of bug fixes plus various design iterations for the finial realse on PC in November 2007.
